Stirling Albion welcome Tranent Juniors to Forthbank in round three of the Scottish Cup on Saturday.

We knocked out Berwick Rangers at Shielfield in the last round and are bidding to reach the last 32 for the first time since 2016/17, when we beat Linlithgow Rose and Wick Academy before losing 3-2 to Clyde at Broadwood after a 2-2 draw at Forthbank.

Midfielder Ray Grant will be available despite his red card in last week’s 2-1 defeat to Edinburgh City and Adam Cummins is now free of suspension. Defenders Paul McLean and Martin McNiff are definitely out and a couple of others will be assessed ahead of the game.

Tranent, who are managed by former Hearts striker Calum Elliot, have won away to Penicuik Athletic and Broomhill to reach this stage and are sitting second in the East of Scotland League Premier Division, just behind Penicuik.

Normal league prices apply – £14 for adults, £10 for seniors, £5 students & U17s, and free for U12s.

Season tickets are not valid for this match. Tranent supporters will be housed in the East Stand.

The referee for Saturday’s game is Lloyd Wilson.

The match programme will be on sale at the game, priced £2.50.

Supporters are encouraged to take a lateral flow test before setting out for the match and it might be wise to dig out the thermals given the weather forecast!

If the game ends in a draw, the replay will take place at Foresters Park on Saturday December 4, kick-off 3.00pm, and our League 2 game at Cowdenbeath would be rescheduled.

The draw for round four of the Scottish Cup will be made live on BBC Scotland on Monday evening following their coverage of Brechin City v Darvel, kick-off 7.45pm. Ties are due to be played on Saturday January 22.
