SAFC Junior Academy

The Stirling Albion Junior Academy has come a long way in the short time it has been in existence, growing from a handful of teams and coaches in 2011 to having more than 200 players on its books today.

Formed initially by parents with only the squads their respective children played in, we now have 12 squads, 19 teams, and 218 registered players over the age of six.

We also have a contingent of younger players in the Young Reds and Girls Section, as well as more than 70 registered officials, all of them passionate and dedicated volunteers with most being the parents themselves.

The Stirling Albion Junior Academy has a close relationship with the Binos, but it is a self-sufficient, not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers that works in partnership with the Club in a number of ways. Our teams play in a variety of tournaments, including the Forth Valley Football Development Association (FVFDA) League and Central Scotland Football Association (CSFA) League.

In 2018, following the culmination of three years hard work, the Junior Academy was awarded the coveted Quality Mark Community from the Scottish FA. It recognised the high standards in terms of our management, development structure, administration, planning and welfare.

Our ethos is simple: to provide enjoyable football for children from the age of 4-and-a-half upwards, through fun and engaging coaching. We teach our young players not only about the game, but about respect for others, loyalty, the acceptance of rules and decisions, self-discipline and the need for teamwork irrespective of race, colour, religion, sex, sexuality or disabilities.
