Goals

Mackin 20’, 63’ (P)

Leitch 30’

McGregor 81’

Sean Heaver and Dylan Mackin started up top for the Binos with three defenders at the back.

The match started off in favour of the visitors as they put on a spell of pressure in the first five minutes that led to a free kick just outside the box. Thankfully for Stirling Albion, the free kick went wide right.

From that point on it was pretty much all Stirling as Dylan Mackin scored in the 20th minute after a perfect assist from Heaver.

The Albion faithful only had to wait another ten minutes to witness the next goal when Jack Leitch scored in the 30th minute.

Nathan Flanagan had a great performance with some eye catching dribbling, passing, and overall high level attacking play.

The Binos went into the half with a comfortable 2-0 lead.

Once again, the sixth tier side started off the half well, with multiple shots in the opening ten minutes.

In the 62nd minute, Tranent Juniors gave away a penalty, which Dylan Mackin coolly converted from the spot, giving him a brace on the day.

Daniel Scally was subbed on in the 67th minute and looked energetic, almost scoring just three minutes later.

Heaver was also in on goal in the 78th minute but could not finish after a brilliant run. Just two minutes later, centre back Jordan McGregor scored off a corner as Stirling Albion secured the 4-0 victory.

With this win, the Binos are through to the next round of the cup and the draw will be taking place on Monday.

Stirling Albion will travel to Cowdenbeath on the 4th for a league matchup.
