Stirling Albion are delighted to announce that three more of the current squad have signed new deals for 2020/21.

Skipper Ross McGeachie, David Wilson and Cammy Thomson have all put pen to paper, bringing the total number of players under contract for next term to 10.

Kyle Banner, Dominic Docherty, Sean Heaver, Dylan Mackin, Jordan McGregor and Paul McLean agreed terms for next season at the end of last month and Blair Currie was already under contract.

Defender Ross, 26, made his debut for the club back in May 2012 while former Partick Thistle midfielder David, 25, joined us from Annan Athletic last summer. Cammy, 20, is a former St Johnstone full-back who made his Stirling debut in December 2017 and can play in defence or midfield.

Manager Kevin Rutkiewicz said: “It’s always exciting to bring the news of players re-signing but particularly at this difficult time. Captain Ross McGeachie has extended his stay and personally I’m over the moon – there is no-one more committed than him.

“David Wilson has re-signed and with four goals and six assists last season I’m expecting him to kick on when we get started and better that tally.

“Cammy Thomson is a player who made considerable improvement last season. I’ve no doubt he will continue that progress when the new season gets under way.”

Chairman Stuart Brown added: “I’m delighted to welcome back Ross, David and Cammy to add to the seven players previously confirmed. The core of next season’s squad is now in place and I will be working closely with Kevin, with the full backing of the Club Board, to support him in adding quality ahead of quantity, when the time is right.

“Given the current hiatus, it is impossible to predict when that time will be but, please be assured, we will be poised and ready when it does! Kevin is also working closely with Niall Marshall, Head of Youth Development Coaching, to promote a number of our U18 squad to first-team duty.”
