Plans are under way for Ross McGeachie’s testimonial season. A series of events will be scheduled throughout the next 12 months.
Chair of the Steering Group Tricia Chillas said “I am delighted to be involved with an active group of individuals with lots of enthusiasm and good ideas. We will also be calling on supporters to assist with some of the events”.
Ross said, “I am totally humbled to be awarded a Testimonial Season. I would like to thank the Club Board and the Trust Board for awarding me such an accolade. I have loved my time at Stirling Albion, and I hope that I have a good few years left in which we can climb the leagues where we should be. The squad currently comprises a great bunch of lads and management team. We get on well and, our ultimate aim is to entertain and reward our loyal supporters”.
The first fund raising scheme is a large-scale charity raffle. Tickets will go on sale at a future home game when everything has been approved (hopefully against Annan). It would be great if supporters, players, and staff could each take a few books of tickets to sell on.
The prizes are excellent, and proceeds will go to local charities as well as Ross’s fund.
