We’d like to give our fans an update on some of the things that have been happening behind the scenes lately.

  • The North Terracing is now operational, was open in line with our target for the home game against Falkirk and will be used when demand requires it. We are working with our partners at Active Stirling on more stadium improvements which we will communicate in due course. Watch this space!
  • We’re happy to report that season ticket sales were approximately double last year – and actually double nearly every year stretching back for at least 8 years! A huge thank you to all our season ticket holders for their support
  • In addition, we’ve issued over 100 free and discounted season tickets to the Junior Academy and 12 and unders to try to build our younger fanbase
  • Matchday crowds are up – and we had our first all-ticket league match for a considerable time!
  • We’ve expanded our hospitality capacity by up to 50% and we continue to receive rave reviews from those attending hospitality on the quality of their experience. The board would like to express their thanks to Karen Thomson and Jim Inglis for the fantastic job they do in running our hospitality operation and to their team of volunteers for making it all happen on a matchday. Contact hospitality@stirlingalbionfc.co.uk to enquire about booking!
  • We’ve added more skilled individuals to our pool of matchday volunteers
  • Finally, we were recently visited on a matchday by an independent SPFL delegate, whose job is to assess the club’s matchday operations primarily in terms of safety, security, service and organisation. We were delighted to receive an extremely positive report summarising that Stirling Albion was an extremely efficient and well run club from all aspects. Indeed, the delegate was so impressed by how our match day operations were co-ordinated and run he said he “was starting to think I was visiting a Premiership club”! The Board would like to thank publicly our General Manager, Christine Curtis, her wonderful team of volunteers too numerous to name individually, our Matchday Co-Ordinator, Trevor Couper, and Safety Officer, Kenny Arnott, for this outstanding report.

And here are some things we’ve got planned which you’ll hear more about in due course:

  • We’re conducting a full review of our youth academy set up so that we can create the right solution to deliver for the club into the future
  • We’re working on a new website (badly needed!) and, following that, a new online shop
  • We’re working to build a closer relationship with Stirling University
