As promised, here’s an update on where we are with the IT projects that are currently underway at the club.

Season Tickets

We’ve made good progress with our ticketing solution so far with season tickets now available for renewal and general sale. Feedback has been really positive with most people delighted with how quick and easy it is to renew or buy online. We had one or two small niggles with emails not being received (check your spam or junk mail folder!) but generally it’s been a successful exercise. And, of course, you don’t have to buy online if you’d prefer not to – just give us a call on 01786 450399 or drop us an email at tickets@stirlingalbionfc.co.uk or even just pop into the office and we’ll sort things out for you.

We are grateful to every single person who has bought a season ticket. Your ongoing support is vital as we try to build a successful club and a successful business. Season tickets are great value too with an adult ticket costing £245 instead of the pay at the gate price of £324. That’s over 4 matches free!

If you haven’t bought one yet then why not pop over to our ticketing site https://stirlingalbionfc.ticketco.events/uk/en/e/season_ticket_202324 and have a look?

In addition to season tickets, we’re also looking at trialling matchday tickets – more information about that will be coming out soon.

We’re also looking to introduce a scheme for our younger supporters to help them stay safe and enjoy their day out at Forthbank. Again, we’ll have more information about that over the next couple of weeks.

Shop

Once the ticketing project has bedded in, we’ll turn attention to the shop.  Initially, we’ll be looking to improve things behind the scenes – like introducing automatic inventory and point of sale technology.  Managing the day-to-day sales, inventory and accounting information is time consuming and not very efficient so we’re looking to free up some time for our hard pressed volunteers (who do a monumental amount of work) and also feed sales data automatically into our back-office systems. That’s the unsexy bit of IT but it’s a key part of our digital transformation strategy as we try to grow the business. But we plan to give the whole online shop a makeover and make it a bit more user friendly too.

Website

Last of all is the website. I’ve had a few complaints from people about it and readily admit it’s not really fit for purpose. It tries to do too many things at once and has grown a bit too complicated and out of control as a result. Simplifying it means taking out some of the stuff like hospitality bookings and season ticket purchases which were clumsy and inefficient processes. Once they’ve gone we can redevelop the site into something more appealing and informative.

If you’ve any questions or want to get involved in any of these projects then please get in touch via the usual channels and we can have a chat.
