After six years at Stirling Albion, as the Club’s first, full-time Community Engagement Manager, today, Friday 7 June, heralds Andy’s last day. He leaves to take up post as General Manager of the West Lothian Youth Foundation.

Andy has literally taken Community Engagement from zero to the sizeable and flourishing entity that it is today. Community Classes, Holiday Camps, School Taster Sessions , Nursery Programmes, Football Fans in Training and Festive Friends are just a few of the highlights that he has been responsible for introducing, growing and maintaining.

In addition to his “day job” as Community Engagement Manager, Andy, a qualified UEFA ‘A’ Licence Coach, has managed our U20s/Reserve Team and given practical assistance to our First Team Managers by way of scouting and coaching.

Andy has also been a huge support to Stirling Albion’s Junior Academy, as they too have grown enormously from their small beginning, during his time with us.

I would like to take this public opportunity to thank Andy, not just for his outstanding work contribution but also for his friendship and unwavering support throughout the journey we have shared during the past six years.

I have no doubt that everyone who has been a part of that that journey, as a work colleague or a “customer”, would share in offering their thanks and appreciation for the hugely significant part he has played at Stirling Albion.

Andy, you can be rightly proud of what you’ve achieved in and around Forthbank. All the very best in your new role and the new adventures that lie ahead.

Stuart
