Vinnie was a hugely popular figure during his time with the club – which spanned the last years at Annfield and our move to Forthbank. He was part of the side that won the 1990/91 Division Two title under John Brogan and scored in the Scottish Cup quarter-final against Clydebank the previous season when we came so close to reaching the semi-finals for the first time.
Neil Emslie, who has been instrumental in setting up the SAFC Former Players Association, is pictured presenting Vinnie with a canvas of our first game at Forthbank in April 1993, when the midfielder led the team out against Clydebank.
