It’s derby day at Forthbank on Saturday as we play host to Stenhousemuir, looking to build on a win and a draw in our last two outings following a sequence of five straight League 2 defeats.

Kevin Rutkiewicz: “It was very frustrating to drop two points against Annan last week given the chances we created and missing a penalty. We have the best defensive record in the division but are sitting second bottom and that is hard to take but, as a team, we need to score more goals.”

Team news: Defender Gareth Rodger remains out with a knee injury and midfielder Paul Willis is struggling with a back problem. Defender Kyle Banner is set to return but strikers Dylan Mackin and Josh Peters are injury doubts.

Stenhousemuir: Interim manager Davie Irons was this week confirmed as manager on a permanent basis following the recent departure of Colin McMenamin in the wake of a 3-0 defeat to Cowdenbeath. Stenny beat Brechin City 1-0 last week to end a poor run at home and are unbeaten on their travels. They are seventh in the table, two places and four points above the Binos. Their most recent signing was experienced Peterhead midfielder Willie Gibson but former Queen’s Park player Jamie McKernon this week left Ochilview.

Past meetings: This is the first meeting between the teams since the final day of 2017/18 when it ended 1-1 at Forthbank, with Peter MacDonald’s goal cancelling out a Colin McMenamin effort. Our last victory over the Warriors was 3-2 at Ochilview on the opening day of that season, when Ross Kavanagh scored a late winner.
