Stirling Albion play Ladbrokes League 2 leaders Peterhead at Forthbank on Saturday as we bid to get our first points on the board after three defeats out of three.

Team news: Darren Barr and Darren Smith could be involved for the first time this season but Jason Marr and Mark Stewart are sidelined. Kevin Moon is also likely to miss out again but Lee Hamilton has recovered from the head knock that forced him off against Edinburgh City.

Past meetings: We were 2-0 winners at Balmoor in the Betfred Cup last month but the Blue Toon enjoyed a hat-trick of 1-0 victories at Forthbank last season, the most recent of them in the play-off semi-final in May.

Opponents: Peterhead drew their opening game 1-1 against Queen’s Park then thrashed Albion Rovers 4-0 at Cliftonhill. The Blue Toon beat Clyde 1-0 at Balmoor last weekend to move to the top of the table. They beat Brechin City 2-1 in the IRN-BRU Cup and host Irish side Bohemians in the next round. Peterhead’s summer signings included Ross Kavanagh (Stirling Albion), Derek Lyle (Queen of the South), Michael Dunlop (Stenhousemuir) and Paddy Boyle (Ayr United).
