We begin our December fixtures with a home game against Brechin City on Saturday, aiming to extend our good run of just one defeat in our last nine league matches.

Kevin Rutkiewicz: “It was a great win for us at Elgin last week and we are building momentum but we need to keep it going – December is a big month if we want to push on.”

Team news: Left-back Jordan Lowdon is a long-term absentee following knee surgery and James Creaney and Kevin Nicoll could again miss out but Darryl Duffy returns after a two-match ban and Lewis Hawke is also available.

Opponents: Brechin lost 2-1 at home to Stenhousemuir last weekend and have endured a tough time of late. Mark Wilson’s men are bottom of the table, four points adrift of Albion Rovers. Paul McManus is their top scorer, with five goals in League 2.

Past meetings: It was 1-1 at Glebe Park in October when we equalised through Paul McLean and finished strongly. Brechin won on their last visit to Forthbank – 2-1 in the Betfred Cup in July 2018. City also won on their last league visit here, a 1-0 success in February 2015.
