Stirling Albion are seeking a third win in a row when we face fourth-placed Annan Athletic at Forthbank on Saturday, kick-off 3.00pm.

Team news: We are again without defender Lee Hamilton, midfielder Kevin Moon and striker Mark Stewart due to injury. Our two new signings – ex-Stranraer midfielder Max Ashmore and former Aberdeen defender Jordan McGregor – are set to be added to the squad.

Kevin Rutkiewicz: “We need to back up what we did against Edinburgh City last week by doing well against Annan. We are at home and we want to win and keep climbing the table but Annan have a good squad and it will be a very difficult game.”

Opponents: Annan are fourth in the table, seven points ahead of Stirling Albion but having played a game more. They beat Elgin City 2-0 at home last week and their away record is four wins, two draws and three defeats. Annan boss Peter Murphy this week signed goalkeeper Aidan McAdams on loan from Rangers and extended the loan deals of Lewis Strapp (Morton) and Kyle Bradley (Rangers).

Past meetings: We had an excellent home record against Annan until they won 2-1 at Forthbank in September. The most recent meeting was a 2-2 draw at Galabank in November when Dom Docherty’s stunning volley earned us a point.
