Stirling Albion Football Club will donate a guaranteed minimum of £1000 from the net proceeds of Saturday’s match against Annan Athletic to the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal’s Ukraine Fund.

From the Sunshine Appeal’s own Facebook page…

Again, our thanks to everyone for getting involved with the fundraising and, whilst it has taken a bit longer than anyone had hoped, we’re so happy to say we’ve had dialogue with a recipient organisation and can confirm it will be the ‘Dzherelo Centre’ in Lviv.

Here are their words, and they really bring home what is happening around them but just how resilient their resolve to help those around them is:
‘Ukraine is really going through terrible times now, the war has destroyed many lives and will destroy even more. But by sticking together, with prayer and faith, we can win.
At this time, we thank many countries for their support and solidarity, for all the public actions, humanitarian aid and financial assistance.
We are very pleased to receive such a warm friendly message from the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal, we have browsed the Internet and got acquainted with your initiative.
The noble work you do truly makes a positive impact on the world, we are very happy to have such new friends.
Dzherelo Centre takes care of 400 children with severe disabilities, we try to stay in constant contact with them, we provide medicine, food and necessities for these families.
Our employees are on daily duty at the train station, helping the refugees.’
