Queen’s Park scored twice in the closing stages to continue their good run under Ray McKinnon and move above us in the League 2 table.

The game was played in difficult conditions of very strong winds and driving rain, which got worse in the second half when the Spiders had the elements behind them.

Dylan Bikey gave us a deserved lead in the first half but substitute Kieran Moore grabbed a double either side of a Peter Grant goal as the Spiders completed a Forthbank double this season.

It was a fourth home league defeat in a row for the Binos but we go to Cowdenbeath on Saturday chasing a fifth successive away win.

Kevin Rutkiewicz made one change to the team that beat Edinburgh City, with Bikey replacing the injured Dylan Mackin. Josh Peters and Paul Willis both returned to the squad but Blair Currie, Cammy Binnie, Jordan Lowdon and Kevin Nicoll were all still out.

We took the lead in 25 minutes when David Wilson crossed from the right and Bikey beat Willie Muir with a superb header for just his second goal of the season. We almost scored again when Bikey appeared to be fouled in the box and the ball broke to Darryl Duffy but his shot was deflected wide by a defender, although the referee gave a goal kick.

There was another penalty shout waved away with 20 minutes left when James Creaney’s shot struck the arm of a defender and the visitors equalised soon after when Moore pounced from close range after we failed to clear a corner.

Queen’s Park went in front with five minutes left when Grant’s drive from 30 yards was fumbled by Nicky Hogarth – who hadn’t previously put a foot wrong since joining on loan from Rangers – and the ball trickled over the line.

The Hampden club struck again in the third minute of added time when Moore took advantage of a slip by Creaney to find the corner with a good finish.
