Stirling Albion are aiming to make it six games without defeat when we make the long journey to Balmoor to face Peterhead on Saturday.

Our last outing was the 1-1 draw against Queen’s Park at Hampden on December 8 as last weekend’s Forthbank meeting with Albion Rovers was postponed due to a frozen pitch.

Kevin Rutkiewicz: “It was disappointing not to play last weekend and this is a game I’m really looking forward to. Peterhead are a very good side but our players have to take confidence from the recent run of results.”

Team news: Long-term absentees Lee Hamilton and Mark Stewart remain on the sidelines. Peterhead are without defenders Jason Brown (suspended) and Paddy Boyle (injured).

Recent meetings: We won 2-0 on our last visit to Balmoor in the Betfred Cup in July but the Blue Toon gained revenge with victory by the same score at Forthbank in League 2 in August. We won 4-2 and lost 4-3 in the North East last season before suffering a 3-0 defeat in the second leg of the play-off semi-final there.

Opponents: Peterhead are second in Ladbrokes League 2, five points behind Edinburgh City but with a game in hand. They have lost just twice in the league this season, to City and Queen’s Park. Their last fixture was a 1-1 draw away to Edinburgh on Tuesday December 11. Peterhead’s home match with Cowdenbeath last week was postponed due to high winds. Rory McAllister is their leading scorer with nine league goals.

Referee: Chris Graham

Admission prices: £12 adults and £6 concessions. Stand extra. Tickets should be bought at the ticket office prior to going to the turnstiles.
