We are delighted to announce that striker Dale Carrick is our fifth new signing of the summer following his departure from Airdrieonians.

The 27-year-old former Hearts, Kilmarnock, Cowdenbeath and Livingston forward had been with the Diamonds since 2018.

He joins Ray Grant (Alloa Athletic), Martin McNiff (Clyde), Adam Cummins (Stranraer) and Nathan Flanagan (Annan Athletic) at Forthbank for 2021/22.

Dale was Airdrie’s top scorer last season, with nine goals in 30 games, as Ian Murray’s side finished second in League 1 before losing to Morton in the play-off final. In total, he netted 31 times in 112 appearances during his three years with Airdrie.

Binos boss Kevin Rutkiewicz said: “There is no doubt in my mind that Dale will be a big asset to this football club. He arrives on the back of a good season at Airdrie and adds to the quality players we already have here. We have brought in a number of players already and we are still working hard to add to the squad.”

Dale Carrick said: “I would like to thank Stirling Albion for this opportunity and I can’t wait to get to work. I am very much looking forward to the season ahead.”

Chairman Stuart Brown added: “The Club Board are absolutely delighted that Kevin has been able to secure the services of a striker of the undoubted quality of Dale. His work ethic and appetite for the game are well documented and I’ve no doubt the fans can look forward to a much-improved goals scored against chances created percentage this coming season. Welcome to Forthbank, Dale!”
