An amazing new event is coming up for our girls: International Football Development Week!
The event will take place from July 25 th to July 29 th , 2022 for ages 11-18. The girls will have the
opportunity to develop their football skills at Stirling Albion F.C.'s training camp on the Astro behind Forthbank Stadium.
This unique event will provide the Stirling girls with the opportunity to develop their football skills and learn from international coaches and Stirling Albion coaching staff with the help of former SWPL2 footballers. In addition, Stirling Albion F.C. cares not only about football skills but also about personal development. The girls will take classes in sports psychology and sports nutrition with strength and conditioning sessions throughout the week to improve their fitness skills.
The development week takes place from Monday to Friday, daily from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The cost for each player is £15 per day. If interested in the whole week the price is £60 for five days of football and active learning. Participation is flexible, girls can choose how many days they wish to sign up for.
The International Football Development Week is divided into daily sessions with different themes, in which given skills can be practiced and improved. The week is likely to follow this schedule:
Day 1 Session – Monday 25 th
1. Opening ceremony
2. Strength & Conditioning class
3. Training – Passing and control
Day 2 Session – Tuesday 26 th
1. Warm up
2. Training – Technical drills (drive ball)
3. Training – Dribbling 1vs1/2vs2
Day 3 Session – Wednesday 27 th
1. Sport nutrition class
2. Warm up
3. Training – Fitness and Agility
Day 4 Session – Thursday 28 th
1. Warm up
2. Training – Football drills
3. Training – Shooting and free kicks
Day 5 Session – Friday 29 th
1. Sports psychology class
3. Closing ceremony
