Following on from a hugely disappointing evening last Tuesday versus Stranraer and with the usual print deadline applying, I can only hope things got a lot better versus Cowdenbeath at Central Park on Saturday!  Whilst I understand the frustration vented by a small number of fans on Social Media, following the defeat against Stranraer, it should be borne in mind that we remain in a strong position as we head towards the 4-game “split” that will determine whether or not we qualify for the play offs. I can assure fans that there’s no lack of desire or effort from anyone at the Club to deliver a successful conclusion (i.e. promotion to SPFL1) to this Covid-ravaged season.

Community Engagement

Away from on-field matters, I’m delighted to report that our Community Engagement “doors” re-opened last week with a hugely successful 3-day Easter Holiday Camp. We operated at full capacity based on Covid restrictions and it was great to have Kenny Crichton (Club Physio) and Dylan Bikey in attendance on the first day to talk to the youngsters and answer their questions!

As lockdown restrictions ease, our Community Classes will re-start in the near future, along with a number of other exciting initiatives, including Walking, Over 35s, Para/Disability, Female only, Teenage 5-a-side and Mini/Baby Binos Football! Please keep an eye out on the Official Website and our Social Media channels for more information.

Club Kit Season 21/22

You will be aware that, following on from the hugely successful “Go Fund Me” campaign, the Club Board decided not to ask our supporters to dig deep into their pockets again by having to fork out to buy a new home (or away) shirt and we stuck with both sets of the current kit for season 20/21.

The news for season 21/22 is the polar opposite – we will be replacing both sets of kit! This is necessitated due to our main sponsor, Prudential, undergoing a rebranding and whilst I don’t yet have confirmation as to what the front of our shirts will look like, all will be revealed in the near future! I appreciate that this will have potential cost implications for fans, but I can confirm that we will work towards ensuring as attractive a financial package as possible for those who want to purchase both!

As on previous occasions, the Club will be asking the Trust Board to put the choice of shirt to a member’s vote by their members but for logistical reasons this will be limited to the choice of the home shirt and the away shirt will be selected based on the outcome of that vote.  If everything goes to plan, the home shirt options will have been sent to the Trust, in advance of this evening’s game.

C’mon The Binos!
