We are delighted to announce the signing of Chris Hamilton on loan from Heart of Midlothian until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old, who has been capped by Scotland at U21 level, had a loan spell with Cowdenbeath last season and spent the first part of 2020/21 with Dumbarton.

Manager Kevin Rutkiewicz said: “Chris is a player we have monitored for a while and he is someone I tried to get before. He is a player who has progressed through the ranks with Scotland at 16s, 17s, 19s and now U21s and that shows his quality.

“One of his strengths is his ability to play in a number of different positions but for me he is a central midfielder and that is where we will look to develop him. We are getting a player whose level is beyond League 2 and it’s a signing I’m very excited about.”

Chairman Stuart Brown added: “The opportunity to sign a player of Chris Hamilton’s quality was far too good to miss out on and the Club Board had no hesitation in supporting Kevin to strengthen his squad.

“My thanks go to Robbie Neilson and Heart of Midlothian FC for agreeing to allow Chris to continue his development at Stirling Albion for the remainder of the season. Welcome to Forthbank, Chris!”
