Stirling Albion bring their Ladbrokes League 2 campaign to a close on Saturday with a game against Edinburgh City at Forthbank.

Kevin Rutkiewicz: “We want to finish the season on a high but I’m sure Edinburgh will be fired up after a couple of recent defeats because they will want to go into the play-offs with a bit of momentum.”

Team news: Jason Marr is likely to miss out again and Neil McLaughlin is also unavailable. Lee Hamilton is a doubt after missing the Peterhead game and youngsters Cammy Murray and Will Greenhorn could be involved in the squad.

Opponents: Edinburgh City have a play-off to look forward to on Tuesday night and would face Clyde as things stand. James McDonaugh’s men spent large chunks of the season at the top of the table but have slipped to third after a run of just one win in seven games. Blair Henderson has scored 30 league goals this season, making him joint top SPFL scorer along with Kevin Nisbet of Raith Rovers.

Past meetings: Edinburgh won 1-0 at Forthbank in Kevin Rutkiewicz’s first game in charge at the end of October but we responded with a 1-0 victory at Ainslie Park in January with a Darren Smith goal. The Citizens won the first meeting this season, 3-1 in the capital.
