Bottom club Cowdenbeath claimed their first win since August as we suffered our fourth straight league defeat.

On a cold and windy afternoon at Central Park we were without Paul McLean, Martin McNiff, Rabin Omar and Dylan Bikey against a side we had beaten 4-0 last time out.

Fraser Mullen got the only goal three minutes after half-time when he found the corner after being picked out by Liam Buchanan as Maurice Ross’ men earned an important three points.

Dale Carrick had a header well saved by Cammy Gill inside 60 seconds and Dylan Mackin had a free-kick turned round the post but overall we didn’t do enough.

The Blue Brazil had a couple of good chances to add to their lead in the second half while a late spell of Stirling pressure came to nothing.
