Mark Wood – current Head of Youth (Coaching) – has decided to stand down from his role for personal reasons, with effect from the end of December 2019.

Everyone at Stirling Albion Football Club would like to express their sincere thanks to Mark for his commitment, and outstanding contribution to the Youth Academy in his time at the helm, as well as wishing him all the very best for the future.

The Club Board is fully committed to sourcing a suitably-qualified successor, and this process is already underway.

Mark said: “I want to thank all the players and coaches involved in my time at the Club for their support and hard work. It has been a privilege to serve the Academy, and a pleasure working with so many talented young footballers and their coaches.”

Stuart Brown, Club Chairman, said: “Mark has served our Academy tirelessly and with dedication and enthusiasm since his appointment as Head of Youth (Coaching). He will leave a big pair of boots to fill when he moves on at the end of the December.

“On behalf of the Club Board, I extend our extreme gratitude for everything he has done during the past five years and wish him all the very best with whatever the future holds.”
