Stirling Albion face Cowdenbeath at Forthbank on Saturday as we bid to extend our unbeaten run to five matches after two home wins and two away draws in the last four.
Kevin Rutkiewicz: “We’ve had a couple of really good battles with Cowdenbeath and we did exceptionally well to dig out a result there with 10 men last time. We want to finish the season strongly and are determined to finish in fifth place, as that is the best we can do now.”
Team news: Danny Jardine and Ross McGeachie returned to the squad last weekend and Neil McLaughlin should be back after missing the Annan game due to illness. Jason Marr, Max Wright and Peter MacDonald are all doubtful but Dylan Mackin could return.
Opponents: Gary Bollan’s men are eighth in the table but have won their last two games – at home to Edinburgh City and Elgin City. Their away record is three wins, four draws and nine defeats. Top scorer for Cowden is David Cox, with eight league goals.
Past meetings: Cowdenbeath won the first meeting 1-0 at Central Park this season but we have won the two most recent encounters 2-1. There has been a red card in all three games – Gary Fraser and Robbie Deas for the Blue Brazil and Darren Smith for the Binos.
