Stirling Albion are delighted to announce the signing of striker Andy Ryan following his recent departure from Dunfermline Athletic.

The 25-year-old began his career with Hamilton Accies and had spells with Brechin City, Arbroath and Forfar Athletic before scoring 27 goals for Airdrie in the 2016/17 season.

That earned Andy a move to Dunfermline and he spent the last three seasons with the Pars. He is our first new signing for 2020/21 and means we now have 12 players under contract for next term.

Manager Kevin Rutkiewicz said: “I’m thrilled to get this deal over the line. It’s one we have been working on for a while and I actually tried to sign Andy last summer.

“I think this is a real statement of intent from the club and shows the type of quality we are looking to bring to Forthbank. I’m excited about it and I hope the fans are as well. Andy is a striker with a lot of good attributes and I know there was a lot of interest in him from other clubs.

“It’s a great start in terms of our new signings and myself, James Creaney, David Peat and Bill Orr are all working together on a number of other targets.”

Chairman Stuart Brown added: “I’m absolutely delighted to have a player of Andy Ryan’s quality commit to Stirling Albion for the coming season. Kevin Rutkiewicz, with the assistance of his recently-appointed backroom team, has been exploring a number of options over the past few weeks and it’s great to ‘get one over the line’!

“The Club Board is fully committed to supporting Kevin in adding further quality to his squad to complement Andy and the players already re-signed and our supporters can look forward to further announcements over the coming weeks.”
