We kicked off the 2010s with an away game against Albion Rovers and start the new decade against the same opponents at the Reigart Stadium on Saturday.
Kevin Rutkiewicz: “I was delighted with the win against Stenhousemuir last week. They had a lot of the ball but we defended well and I felt we had the best chances in the game.”
Team news: Goalkeeper Blair Currie and left-back Jordan Lowdon are long-term absentees and Paul Willis missed the festive fixtures due to illness. Midfielder Kevin Nicoll serves a one-match ban after picking up his sixth booking of the League 2 season in the 1-0 defeat to Edinburgh City a fortnight ago.
Opponents: Albion Rovers are a point below us in the table, with a game in hand. Kevin Harper’s men enjoyed an unbeaten December with home victories over Queen’s Park and Annan Athletic and draws at Elgin and Brechin.
Past meetings: Rovers came from behind to win 2-1 on our last visit to Coatbridge in August when we had Paul McLean and Kevin Nicoll sent off. We ran out 3-0 winners at Forthbank in November thanks to goals from Darryl Duffy, Jordan McGregor and Sean Heaver.
Referee: Kevin Graham
