Ashmore is first signing

We are pleased to announce the signing of Max Ashmore on a deal until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old former Rangers and Ross County midfielder moves to Forthbank after being released from his contract by Stranraer and is our first new recruit of the January window.

Binos boss Kevin Rutkiewicz is working hard to make further additions and was delighted to land Ashmore, who has been training with us recently.

He said: “He’s a central midfielder and I’ve had a lot of good reports about him. The desire and the enthusiasm is there, which is a big tick, so hopefully he can translate what we have seen in training on to the park.

“He’s a good footballer and he’s left-footed so I’m hoping that he’s going to bring a balance to the team. He provides competition and options and what it can do is possibly release one of the others further up the park.”

Max is set to be part of the squad for Saturday’s game against Annan Athletic at Forthbank.
