Stirling Albion welcome Montrose to Forthbank on Tuesday night, kick-off 7.45pm, for a rearranged game that was postponed on January 30 due to snow.
It’s the first of a home double header for the Binos, with Berwick Rangers our visitors on Saturday, as we seek our first victory since beating Annan 1-0 on December 19.
Team news: Full-back Kevin McKinlay remains out with a hamstring injury and Ross McGeachie is unlikely to be fit after missing the trip to Arbroath but Willie Robertson and Craig Beattie could return to the squad.
Opponents: Montrose are eighth in the table, one place and one point below Stirling Albion, having played two games more. Paul Hegarty’s side are unbeaten in their last four matches and hit back from two goals down to deny East Fife a fifth straight win in a 2-2 draw at Links Park on Saturday. Their only away win was 1-0 against Queen’s Park on October 3. Montrose recently signed keeper Alex Tokarczyk on loan from Falkirk and ex-Albion striker Chris Templeman was snapped up after leaving Forfar.
Past meetings: We won 1-0 at Forthbank in September when Ross McMillan headed the winner after keeper Chris Smith had earlier saved a penalty from Ross McCord, with Ross McGeachie sent off for conceding the kick. Darren Smith hit a hat-trick when we won 3-1 at Links Park in mid-December.
