Stirling Albion boss Stuart McLaren was frustrated that we failed to follow up wins against East Stirlingshire and Montrose with another positive result at Arbroath.
Two goals in as many minutes from Sergio Alvarez and Bobby Linn gave the Red Lichties a 2-0 victory at a sun-kissed Gayfield.
McLaren said: “I thought we were the better team in the first half. We played well and the only criticism is that we didn’t manage to get a goal.
“We then conceded two very quickly after half-time and that made it very difficult. It’s even more frustrating because the other results mean that if we had won we would have been right in amongst it.”
Arbroath manager Todd Lumsden said: “That’s two wins and two clean sheets in a row – we never doubted this team but our confidence is back. Bobby Linn was excellent for us again and scored another important goal.”
