Stirling Albion make the short journey to Ochilview on Saturday to face East Stirlingshire in a local derby in Ladbrokes League 2.
Last week’s 1-0 reverse at Elgin means we are still looking for our first victory of 2015/16 and we have not won on our travels since beating Stenhousemuir at Ochilview on January 3.
Team news: Craig Beattie and Darren Lee Smith remain on the injury list but Phil Johnston could return and Kevin McKinlay is available after a two-match ban. Striker Kyle Lander is added to the squad after joining on loan from St Johnstone but Jon Paul McGovern left the club before the transfer window closed and his since joined Clyde.
Opponents: East Stirlingshire have won both home games in Ladbrokes League 2, inflicting the only defeats so far on East Fife and Annan but have lost away to Elgin and Clyde. Boss Craig Tully’s summer signings included Kris Faulds from Stenhousemuir and ex-Albion youth team striker Ally Roy, on loan from Hearts.
Previous meetings: The most recent encounter came at Ochilview in March 2014 when Shire won 1-0 thanks to an Iain Thomson penalty and we had David McClune and Kieran McAnespie sent off. We have failed to win any of the four away games against East Stirlingshire since they began ground-sharing with Stenhousemuir – two defeats, two draws and four red cards.
Referee: Alan Muir
Admission: Adults £12, Concessions £5, U12s £1
Segregation: Albion fans will be housed in the covered terracing behind the goal, as has been the case in our recent visits to Ochilview. Turnstiles will open at 2.15pm.
Distance: It’s only nine miles from Forthbank to Ochilview
