This week both our U16 and U18 sides faced home games in what could be described as ‘difficult’ conditions as Storm Ciara battered Forthbank.

Our U16s took on Greenock Morton and suffered a 4-0 defeat in what was a disappointing performance after a strong showing in a 3-2 defeat to start the CAS Cup campaign away to Celtic last week. They have the opportunity to bounce back next week versus Fife Elite Academy.

Our U18s fared better, running out 4-3 winners against Montrose. Martin France gave us the lead before The Gable Endies fired back and went ahead 2-1.

Matty Meechan bagged a brace to restore our advantage before Sandy Carey made sure of the victory with a well-struck penalty. Montrose netted in injury time to provide some consolation but the Binos took all three points on their return to competitive action. They face Alloa in their next match.

Everyone will be hoping for better weather!
