Ladbrokes League 2 leaders Cove Rangers visit Forthbank on Saturday as we aim to get our first points on the board after 1-0 defeats to Queen’s Park, Cowdenbeath and Edinburgh City.

Kevin Rutkiewicz: “Cove are the favourites for the title and have brought in some high-quality players but we are at home and we need to be putting a marker down. There is no doubt it’s a huge game but I feel we are as good as anyone in this league and now is the time to show it.”

Team news: Gareth Rodger remains out and the game may also come too soon for fellow defenders James Creaney – who has yet to feature this season – and Jordan McGregor. Kyle Banner is available after serving a one-match ban.

Cove Rangers: Paul Hartley’s side are the early leaders in their first season in the SPFL after wins over Edinburgh City (5-0) and Cowdenbeath (3-2) and a 4-4 draw at Albion Rovers. Cove have this summer brought in Jamie Redman (Montrose), Daniel Higgins (Kilmarnock), Declan Glass (Dundee United, loan), Chris Antoniazzi (Aberdeen, loan), John Robertson (St Johnstone, loan), Matty Smith (Dundee United, loan), and Fraser Fyvie (Dundee United).
