Stewart broke in to the Albion’s side at the age of 16 in January 2001 in a 1-1 draw at Stenhousemuir. Stewart came through the clubs Youth system and has always been the subject of transfer specualtion during his time at Forthbank. Stewart is completely comfortable playing in the left back position and on the left and the centre of midfield. One of his great strengths is his delivery from set pieces.

He missed the early games of last season through injury but returned to the team in September only to suffer a bad hamstring injury in the League Cup tie against Hearts. After this he then had a short spell in the first team before again suffering from a niggling thigh injury around Christmas. Managed to return to the side for the last couple of months of the season.

Stewart has been in and out of the side this season though he has began to find form and is operating on the left of midfield to great affect.

He has now made over 150 starts for the first team and 35 appearances from the bench and has 16 goals to his name.
