Joined the club during the summer from Queen of the South. He has joined as assistant manager to Allan Moore after previous assistant Mark McNally left to take up a post with the SFA. He is continuing to play this season and has so far scored a number of goals including a stunning volley at Ayr United. Has also so service at Bournemouth, Ross County and St Mirren.

John has had an indifferent season although this has not affected his goal scoring as he is the clubs top scorer with five goals as of mid January 2009. He had though a rare set back against Queens Park where he missed a penalty.
