Andy was spotted playing for Glasgow Amateurs by former assistant manager Mark McNally who invited him along to pre-season training at the start of 2005/06. In his first season he became one of the first choice central defenders and went on to win the player of the year. His second season saw him continue in the side but he then began to suffer from a number of injuries.

Last season he began the season as number on choice in the centre of defence but then fell out of the squad as the season as loan signings joined the club but Andy kept coming back into the side and made 28 starting appearances last season taking him up to almost the 100 appearances over all and he also won the www.stirlingalbion.com player of the year award. A committed player he stays in Dunoon and travels to training twice a week.

Started this season in the unfamiliar right back role but he has adapted well to the position. Picked up an injury in November and missed the most of December only returning to the side at Arbroath at the end of December.
