Stirling Albion tasted defeat for the first time in 2009 on Saturday going down 3-2 to Brechin City in a crucial promotion play-off match at Forthbank Stadium.
Since losing to Queens Park in December The Binos have went on a nine match unbeaten run but after this result we are now seven points behind the play off places.

Brechin took an early lead on 13 minutes with a fine finish from Stephen Ettien. Stirling though responded quickly when Sean Roycroft levelled three minutes later and John O'Neill slotted The Binos ahead ten minutes before the break.
Stirling could not hold out until half time though and were caught when Brechin counter attacked and Rory McAllister equalised with a powerful header.

The second half was a drab affair compared to the first but it was Brechin who would come out on top when Ettion took advantage from a mistake by Scott Christie on 68 minutes.
