Stirling Albion lost 3-1 at league leaders Ayr United on Saturday. Martin Grehan put Stirling ahead after 14 minutes but a double from David Gormley before the break and a late goal from ex-Bino Alex Williams was enough to see the home side gain three vital points in their championship race with Raith Rovers.
Defender Sean Roycroft was dismissed late in the match for his second bookable offence.
The Binos are now five points adrift of the promotion play off spots after Peterhead's victory at Alloa.
