Albion fanatic Kevin Croall explains how this unusual song was born- " After a midweek match(can't remember which) a larger than usual crowd of Albion supporters gathered in the Borestone Bar. Until then the only Boney song was the 'Ten Alex Bone's' song, so we all decided to make up a new Boney chant and we were getting on quite well, with the Boney M tune and the start of the chant. But we were stuck on the word to rhyme with goal.. I had a few whisky's and decided it was between two options. Scores a goal like a dancing foal..!! was close to being the last line until I came up with the drink enduced...Scores a goal, eats a gammon roll..!! for some unknown reason, it just seemed to stick."

It's an original way to sing the song so popularised after Boney M's original hit Holiday

ALEX BONE - ALEX BONE

ALEX, ALEX BONE

HE SCORES A GOAL - EAT'S A GAMMON ROAL

ALEX, ALEX BONE
