I'll probably be ridiculed by fellow members of the Young Reds Committee but here goes. I come from a football background and, though my father was, and still is, a Rangers supporter (he came to this area from Cambuslang) he is also a great lover of football in general.

Therefore, living in Tullibody, we went to watch both Stirling Albion and Alloa Athletic. I preferred watching the Albion as there always seemed to be bigger games at Annfield than the Recs. My brother Alos played a trial for the Albion when Sammy Baird was the manager.

My favourite player is Mickey Lawson closely followed by Billy Steele (they formed a dynamic partnership)

Best away match was in 1987 when we beat Ayr United 3-2. We then had to wait to see if that was good enough to win promotion but, unfortunately, Raith Rovers beat Stranraer to pip us for promotion.

Best home victory was more recent when we beat Kilmarock 6-2.

However, I was proud the way the team fought back at Ibrox to come from 3-0 down to 3-2 and almost score an equaliser a few years ago (what a sickener that would have been to the Rangers fans who left early).

I have seen a lot of managers since I started watching the Albion and it is difficult to say who is the best. However, I have no doubt that as far as motivation is concerned, Ray Stewart must rank as the one of the best.

I wouldn't like to say which is my favourite ground as Annfield and Forthbank both have fond memories. But I can say that the Recs is my least favourite ground because of our poor record there, the Alloa fans (but not all of them, just in case John Condie sees this) and the general state of the ground.
