How did I start supporting the Bino's? They are my local side. I started to follow them round about 1970, when I was 10 years old. You used to get in to Annfield for free at half time in those days, although the way things are going you would probably have to pay to get out of Forthbank after 45 minutes!!!
My favourite player is Micky Lawson, or Paul Deas. As for the team, the side that won us promotion in 96 was the best Albion team I've ever seen.
My favourite game was Stirling Albion 3 Motherwell 1 Scottish cup round 3 1971. Probably the best the beanos have ever played. And yes I was at the 6-2 Killie game! The most exciting match would be at the time when we won promotion in 1996. We were awesome!
Best manager would be John Brogan. He was the real article and he laid the foundations for the team that Drinkell took up.
My favourtie ground has got to be Annfield - pre plastic pitch. It was oor ain midden and we got to change ends at half time.
I'd be rubbish as manager.
The biggest disaster in the 30 years I've followed the club is the two years of full time football wasted since Drinkell left. We are now in real trouble with no money and a dwindling fan base. The only way forward is to bring back the fans! How can we do this?
