We head for Borough Briggs on Saturday to face Elgin City, looking for our first away league win of the season.

Kevin Rutkiewicz: “I felt we deserved better against Clyde last week and the players can be proud of their performance. It was a frustrating afternoon but we have to put that behind us. Elgin have been doing well and are always strong at home but we have been on a decent run.”

Team news: Darryl Duffy is again suspended after his red card against Annan a fortnight ago but Josh Peters scored a hat-trick in a midweek bounce game against Jeanfield Swifts and could return to the squad. Defenders Jordan Lowdon and Gareth Rodger remain out. A couple of others are nursing knocks and will be assessed before the game.

Opponents: Elgin were beaten 3-1 by Alloa in the Scottish Cup last weekend but are unbeaten in League 2 since a 2-1 defeat at Brechin at the end of September. City have been in good goalscoring form this season and Shane Sutherland has already netted 20 goals in all competitions. Elgin are fifth in the table, three points ahead of Stirling, with a game in hand to come at Stenhousemuir on Tuesday.

Past meetings: Elgin won 3-0 at Brough Briggs in a Betfred Cup tie in July but we won 1-0 at Forthbank in September thanks to a Josh Peters goal. We lost 3-2 on our last league visit to Elgin in February but won 3-0 on our other trip north last season.
