Gary Muir signed for Stirling Albion on 29th March 2008. Muir signed until the end season 2007/2008 after featuring as a trialist over three matches and is likely to feature in most of our remaining matches this season with Boss Allan Moore keen to see what the Glasgow based midfielder can produce.

Muir feaured in Alloa, Queens Park, Partick Thistle and Morton youth set ups before heading across the pond for a spell in college football in USA where he featured for Louisburg & Hartford Hawks.

In America Muir played for two seasons at Louisburg Junior College, captaining the side for the two years where he was also named in the 2005 second team All-America in the National Junior College Athletic Association and the National Soccer Coaches Association Junior Collge Division. Muir was also named Region 10 Player of the Year in his second year and named the teams most valuable player.

Muir was then transferred to Hartford. In 2006 he was the second leading scorer for the Hawks playing in all 17 matches scoring 3 goals.
