Lawrie has been released by St Johnstone after suffering from injury last season, but Moore believes the six foot right back, who spent ten years at Falkirk, would be an ideal replacement for Paul Nugent who has left The Binos to join East Fife. Lawrie is currently on holiday but Moore hopes he can capture Lawrie's signature when he returns. Moore

Ryan Borris. Dumbarton are also reported to be interested in

Match Updates The club can confirm we have arranged a friendly match against Dundee at Forthbank on Wednesday 9th July. Details of our other confirmed pre-season matches are, Saturday 5th July - Ballymena United (Northern Ireland), Tuesday 15th July - Partick Thistle, Wednesday 23rd July - St Mirren. A proposed friendly match against Berwick Rangers in late May has fallen through, Allan Moore and Berwick boss Alan McGonigal were hoping the game would allow them to scout new players but the match will not go ahead. Another proposed match which is looking like it may fall through is a friendly in the Newcastle area. Allan Moore has been approached about a match and is keen to see it take place but knows costs involved could scupper his plans. Moore said “I would love to take the squad down to the Newcastle area for a match and an overnight stay. It would be ideal, particularly if we have a lot of new players. I will speak to the chairman about it but at the moment finances would probably restrict this match from taking place.” The club also hope to take part again in the annual East Kilbride Tournament but the club are still in talks with the tournament organisers. |
