Stirling Albion head for Galabank on Saturday to play Annan Athletic, knowing that a point will secure us a place in the play-offs at the beginning of May.
Dave Mackay’s men are looking to improve on a disappointing recent run of five games without win, including defeats in our last three outings.
Team news: Captain Willie Robertson returns after a one-match ban but striker Andy Little is out with the thigh injury that forced him off at Broadwood last weekend. Top scorer Darren Smith and defender Lee Hamilton are again rated 50/50.
Previous meetings: It was 1-1 on our last visit in December on a bitterly cold day when an early Liam Caddis goal was cancelled out late on by Brandon Luke. We won 3-2 and 3-0 at Forthbank this season but are without a win in five games at Galabank since the 5-3 victory in the play-offs in May 2014.
Opponents: Annan are seventh in the table, with a home record of five wins, eight draws and four defeats. Their top scorer is Aidan Smith, with 12 league goals. Peter Murphy’s men lost 3-2 at Stenhousemuir last weekend but thumped Elgin City 4-1 in their last home game.
