Stirling Albion are at home to title-chasing Montrose on Saturday as we aim to improve on a recent run of two draws and a defeat in our last three outings.
The visitors have spent the last 20 years in the bottom division but have enjoyed an outstanding season, losing just twice on their travels, and are second in the Ladbrokes League 2 table.
Team news: Midfielder Andy Black is still sidelined as he continues his recovery from a broken collarbone. Binos boss Dave Mackay hopes to have Darren Barr, Kevin Moon and Andy Little available after they missed last week’s 3-0 defeat at Elgin.
Previous meetings: We were well worth our 3-1 victory at Links Park in September, helped by a Callumn Morrison double, but Montrose came from behind to win 2-1 on our return visit in January. Gary Fraser scored the only goal in a 1-0 success for the Gable Endies at Forthbank just before Christmas.
Opponents: Montrose are behind leaders Peterhead on goal difference but have a game in hand against bottom club Cowdenbeath at Central Park on Tuesday. Stewart Petrie’s side have lost only twice since the turn of the year, both times to Clyde. Their remaining Saturday fixtures are Berwick (H), Stenhousemuir (A) and Elgin City (H).
