Stirling Albion play the second of three consecutive away games on Saturday when we travel to Ainslie Park to face Edinburgh City.
We head for the capital on a run of six wins in seven matches and sit third in the Ladbrokes League 2 table, eight points clear of fifth-placed Elgin City.
Team news: Training was cancelled on Thursday evening due to the sickness bug that has affected a number of the squad. Top scorer Darren Smith will miss out after suffering an ankle injury in the 1-0 win over Berwick at Shielfield on Tuesday.
Previous meetings: We won 2-1 on our last visit to the capital in early November. Scott Shepherd gave City the lead but Ross Kavanagh equalised and Callumn Morrison scored the winner. It was 2-0 Stirling at Forthbank in August but the weather came out on top at the end of February when snow saw the game postponed just before kick-off.
Opponents: James McDonaugh’s side have lost only three of their 10 games in 2018 and have taken seven points from the last nine available, beating Elgin City (4-0) and Annan Athletic (3-2) before drawing 1-1 with Cowdenbeath in midweek.
