Stirling Albion FC can confirm a second coach has been on suspension in accordance with our Child Wellbeing and Protection Policy, following contact from Police Scotland in May 2017.
Stirling Albion’s direct involvement in this particular case ceased at the point of suspension. The Club have had no role to play in the criminal investigation and there has been no contact with anyone associated with the Club during the investigation into the individual concerned.
The Club would like to make it clear that there is nothing to suggest that the suspensions of the two coaches are linked in any way. The only commonality is that the Club’s Policy and Procedures were triggered and followed stringently in both cases.
We would also wish to confirm that no other personnel associated with SAFC is under any suspicion or investigation.
Our commitment to a `duty of care` to everyone within the Stirling Albion football family does not waver and we will continue to adopt and implement best practice at all times.
