Stirling Albion welcome Ladbrokes League 2 leaders Peterhead to Forthbank on Saturday as we begin a hectic spell of seven matches in 22 days.
Dave Mackay’s men won five games on the trot, most recently beating Clyde 2-1 a fortnight ago, before the bad weather saw matches against Edinburgh City, Berwick and Elgin postponed.
Team news: Skipper Willie Robertson and fellow midfielder Sean Dickson returned to training this week and should be available for selection but Andy Black is out for several weeks after suffering a broken collarbone.
Previous meetings: One of the highlights of the season so far was a 4-2 win at Balmoor back in August but Jim McInally’s men prevailed 4-3 in the North East in January when the high winds made it difficult for both sides. Peterhead won 1-0 in a midweek match at Forthbank in December.
Opponents: Peterhead beat Clyde 2-1 at Balmoor 10 days ago to move above Montrose on goal difference at the top of the table. The Blue Toon have won 10 of their 14 away matches this season, drawing two and losing two. Top scorer Rory McAllister has recently been sidelined with an ankle injury but former Edinburgh City forward Karim Belmokhtar has signed a short-term deal after impressing as a trialist.
