Two of the SPFL’s in-form sides meet on Saturday as we welcome Clyde to Forthbank in Ladbrokes League 2.
We go into the game seeking our fifth win in a row while the Bully Wee make the short journey aiming for a sixth victory on the trot.
Albion are third in the table as we prepare for two home games in the space of four days – Edinburgh City are our visitors for a rearranged fixture on Tuesday.
Team news: Andy Black misses out through suspension. Fellow midfielders Willie Robertson (thigh), Sean Dickson (knee) and Connor McMullan (ankle) are also sidelined.
Previous meetings: Clyde deservedly won 3-2 at Forthbank in September, with Barry Cuddihy netting the clincher 11 minutes from time. It was 1-1 at Broadwood in November when Darren Smith’s goal was cancelled out by a late David Goodwillie penalty. The six meetings in league and Scottish Cup last season produced three Stirling wins, one Clyde win and two draws.
Opponents: Clyde have been transformed recently by Danny Lennon and his assistant Allan Moore. Lennon took over in November following the departure of Jim Chapman and things started slowly with four 0-0 draws followed by two defeats but Clyde will still harbour play-off ambitions after stringing together five victories on the bounce. David Goodwillie has scored seven goals in that run and is up to 18 for the season.
