Stirling Albion head for Fife on Saturday to take on bottom club Cowdenbeath at Central Park, kick-off 3.00pm, seeking our third win on the trot.
Last weekend’s 3-1 defeat of Elgin City saw us move three points clear in fourth place and Darren Smith became the first SPFL player to net 20 league goals this season.
Team news: Midfielder Sean Dickson remains sidelined with a hamstring injury but left-back Steven Noble and long-term absentee Andy Little have a chance of being involved in the squad. Binos boss Dave Mackay recently signed Kevin Moon, Danny Jardine and Darren Barr and is still looking to bring in a goalkeeper as competition for Cammy Binnie.
Previous meetings: We edged a tight contest of few chances at Forthbank at the end of January when a Jamie Pyper own goal was the difference. We were 3-0 winners at Central Park in October thanks to goals from Darren Smith, Peter MacDonald and Neil McLaughlin. We also won twice away to Cowdenbeath last season, recording a pair of 2-0 victories.
Opponents: Cowdenbeath earned a 1-1 draw away to Annan Athletic last weekend but remain without a win since beating Edinburgh City back in August. They are eight points adrift at the foot of the table but Gary Bollan’s men were unlucky to lose at Forthbank last month. Scoring goals has been their biggest problem; Robbie Buchanan is their leading league marksman with four.
Referee: Peter Stuart
Admission: £12 for adults, £6 for concessions
